Moscatel is a naturally sweet dessert wine from Portugal that is fortified after fermentation, in a similar way to Pedro Ximenez Sherry. These produce deep full bodied, sweet fruit notes in the cask. Moscatel is the original European fortified wine, made with at least 85% Moscatel de Alejandria grape varietal.
